Easter in the Garden at Botanical Conservatory
Butterflies with an African Beat Begins April 13
Hop on down to the Botanical Conservatory on Friday, March 29, 10 am - 3 pm, for Easter in the Garden. Don't forget the camera because there will be plenty of photo opportunities. Your children can meet the Easter Bunny, play games for prizes, make crafts, pot a plant, and enjoy light refreshments.
Toddlers through elementary age can look for Easter eggs in our annual indoor Easter Egg Hunt. Enter our drawing for a chance to win a “sweet” Easter basket. We’ll also have live animals such as baby chicks, ducks, bunnies, sheep and goats. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Regular Conservatory admission applies: $5/adult, $3/child age 3-17, free for children 2 and under. Sponsored by WAJI Majic 95.1 FM.
The Conservatory's annual live butterfly exhibit returns April 13, bringing with it the music of Africa! Showy butterfly specimens from the Old and New World join species imported from tropical Africa to mesmerize visitors as they get a close look in our display tent. Enjoy the stunning Blue Morpho and friendly Owl butterflies as well as a variety of swallowtail and brushfooted species. Guests can explore the sounds and rhythms of the drum, shekere, and other native percussion instruments from different regions of the great African continent. Regular Conservatory admission applies: $5/adult, $3/child age 3-17, free for children 2 and under. Sponsored by WMEE 97.3 FM.
