FBC to perform on August 9th

Fort Wayne, Ind—The Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department regrets to announce that due to health-related complications the On a Night Like This concert previously scheduled for Saturday, August 9 has been cancelled. Those who purchased tickets for the concert will receive a refund.

In place of On a Night Like This, the Department is pleased to announce a FREE community concert by the band FBC, a blast from Fort Wayne’s rock & roll past.

FBC Band was a wildly popular local rock band in the Fort Wayne area between 1975 and 1983.  They played covers of classic rock masters including Journey, Styx, Foreigner and REO Speedwagon. In 1982, they released an album of original material titled Worth a Fortune. They were the opening act for Robert Palmer in their last appearance at Foellinger Theatre. Drummer Randy Scarberry returns from L.A. where he currently works, lives, and plays with his band A Different Animal. Singer and front man Brian McCarron now hails from South Florida where he keeps his musical chops honed. Guitarist Gary McMeekin and keyboardist Mike Monroe have been sharing their talents with the Ft. Wayne scene since the band last played.

The show is scheduled for 8 pm, Saturday, August 9 at the Foellinger Theatre. No admission fee is required. For more information, visit www.foellingertheatre.org or call our office at 260-427-6000.
