Fort Wayne, IN: Due to staff returning to school, Memorial Pool will close for the season at 5 pm, Sunday, August 7 and McMillen Pool will close at 7 pm August 7.

Northside Pool will remain open for the season until 5 pm Saturday, August 13.

On Sunday, August 14, Northside Pool will offer a Dippin’ Dogs Swimming Event for dogs that have a Pooch Pass to Pawster and/or Camp Canine dog parks.

Dog Park Members must pre-register their dogs for a one hour time slot by calling 260-427-6000 or by visiting the Parks & Recreation Department Office at 705 East State Blvd. All dog park members must pay regular pool admission when they enter the pool: Adults $4.50/ Youth ages 12 – 17 $3.50. Youth under the age of 12 are discouraged from attending. CASH ONLY ADMISSION! All dog park members must sign a liability waiver before entering the pool area. The waiver and the Dippin’ Dog event rules are posted at www.fortwayneparks.org under Facilities/Dog Parks.

The City’s free splash pads will remain open until Labor Day. Splash pads are located at the following parks:

Buckner Park

Hours: 9 am – 9 pm

McCormick Park

2300 Raymond & Holly

Hours: 9 am – 9 pm

Memorial Park

2301 Maumee & Glasgow

Hours: 9 am – 9 pm

Robert E. Meyers Park

Inside North Gate of Parkview

Field on Jefferson Blvd.

Hours: Open to public 9 am – 11 pm on days without scheduled events

Shoaff Park

6401 St. Joe Rd.

Hours: 9 am – 9 pm

Kreager Park (Taylor’s Dream)

7225 North River Road

Hours: 9 am – 9 pm

Waynedale Park

2900 Koons & Elzey

Hours: 9 am – 9 pm
