Great Tree Canopy Comeback

Saturday, October 20, 10:00 a.m.

The Great Tree Canopy Comeback was established in 2001 to combat the critical loss of trees in Fort Wayne. Over the last fifty years, our parks have lost close to 50% of the tree canopy due to weather and disease. On Saturday, October 20, Friends of the Parks invites you to partner with area parks departments, businesses, neighborhoods and community volunteers to plant new trees in our parks and public spaces. Bring a shovel and gloves and join us. We’ll begin at 10:00 a.m. and work until all the trees are in the ground.

Please visit the Friends of the Parks of Allen County website at www.yeaparks.com for planting locations
