On the first Thursday of the month the Botanical Conservatory offers $1 admissions,5-8 pm, for adults and children. Babies and up to age 2 are still admitted free. Enjoy our evening hours and a special discount once a month. For more info, call(260)427-6440.

Community Center Showcase—35 Years and Going Strong

Free Fun for All Adults during Active Aging Week—September 24 - 28, 2012

Fort Wayne, Ind.—Mayor Tom Henry, Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Director Al Moll, Community Center volunteers, patrons and staff gathered today to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the dedication of the Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation Community Center. In celebration, and to encourage the intergenerational theme of the Community Center, Active Aging Week for adults 50+ will be expanded this year to include a Community Center Showcase--an extensive sample of free classes, demonstrations, lectures and hands-on activities for adults of all ages to enjoy, September 24 – 28.

Join us at Salomon Farm Park, 817 Dupont Rd., to celebrate the history and culture of the American farm on Friday and Saturday, September 21 and 22, 10 am–5 pm.  Activities include: 

City Park Master Plan Input Meeting

Fort Wayne, Ind--The Board of Park Commissioners invites the community to attend a public input meeting to provide ideas, opinions, and concerns regarding City parks. Public input is critical in preparing a comprehensive master plan which will provide guidance for future park improvements and program development.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 6 –8 pm in the lower level of the PSI Ote Pavilion located at Bob Arnold Park, E. State Blvd. and Parnell Ave, Fort Wayne.
