History: Weisser Park was purchased from Magdelena Weisser in 1909 for over ten thousand dollars. Originally only fifteen acres, the park eventually grew to twenty.  Known for the beauty of its wooded areas, the park has required little artificial enhancement.

Ball Diamonds

Children can enjoy the playground at Weisser Park, which includes 3 slides and a swing set.

Tennis Courts


Tennis players can brush up on their game on Weisser Park's 2 outdoor tennis courts.

Weisser Center


The Weisser Park Recreation Center is a neighborhood center primarily serving youth in the community.



The Weisser Pavilion, located in Weisser Park, is available on a first come first serve use for the public. Weisser Center is available for weekend rentals for birthday parties, dinners, receptions, recitals and other special functions. Contact 427-6780 for additional information about renting Weisser Center.


Thanks to Jim Etlzer (second from the right) for providing this photo from the Weisser Pavilion in 1946. A lot has changed but we still have a pavilion in Weisser Park along with the Weisser Center offering a diverse year around recreational program.
