ZZ TOP 2014 photo 2 2

The legendary "little ol' band from Texas" ZZ TOP is set for a Sunday September 27 appearance at 7 30 pm at The Foellinger Outdoor Theatre in Fort Wayne. Formed in Houston in 1969, ZZ Top remains the only major rock group to retain all original members for over 46 years now.Led by Billy Gibbons on lead guitar, Dusty Hill on bass, and Frank Beard (the one without the beard!) on drums, ZZ Top was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame by Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones. Jimi Hendrix always stated that Billy Gibbons was his favorite guitar player.

Influenced by blues and rock legends BB KING, JOHN LEE HOOKER and MUDDY WATERS, ZZ Top's brand of blues / rock has yielded songs including
"La Grange", "Jesus Just Left Chicago", "Tush", "I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide", "Pearl Necklace" and "Legs".
