Admission is free to all Historic Fort Wayne events, however, freewill donations are gratefully accepted and help fund future events and activities at the Fort. Parking is available at Headwaters and Lawton Parks.

Children’s Gently Used Book Swap & Sale

July 13-15, 12:00-5:00 pm

July 16, 10:00 am-4:00 pm

Summer is a great time to READ . . . just for the fun of it! Our book swap and sale is your opportunity to trade in the books you’ve already read for something you haven’t. Boys

and girls (toddlers through teens) may swap up to 5 books per day. Purchasing is unlimited and open to kids and adults. Prices start at 25¢ per book.

Donations of gently used and new books are accepted year round. Books may be dropped off at the Community Center (233 W. Main St.) anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. If

you have a large quantity of books, please call 427-6467 and arrangements will be made to have the books picked up.

Riverfront Fort Wayne promises every Fort Wayne resident and visitor an always-evolving opportunity to connect with nature, culture and community.

  • Keep up to date on events at Salomon Farm Park! Check out the Salomon link for additional information including information about the Salomon Farm Fiber Arts Celebration, Farmin' Fun Day Camp, Volunteer Opportunities, fun classes and more at the Farm.
  • Hikes will be held  at Lindenwood Nature Preserve.  Check out the Lindenwood link to learn more.
  • Lawton Skate Park Clean Ups held the 2nd Sunday of every month (weather permitting) at 1 pm at Lawton Skate Park.  Call 260.427.6005 for more information.
  • Trek the Trails starts in May and runs through the summer.  Tuesday nights at 6:10 pm from various locations.  Check out the Trails link to learn more....
