Trail Closures and Detours

Due to an abundance of rainfall, several sections of the trail network are flooded.  If you encounter any flooding, please turn around and find another route.  If you encounter any downed trees or safety concerns, please call or email the Greenways Dept at 427-6228 or  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Trails Closed due to Flooding:

Towpath Trail

  • Between Covington Rd and Smith Rd  

 

St. Marys Pathway 

Due to the significant flooding of the St. Marys River, most of the St. Marys Pathway is closed due to flooding and flood aftermath

  • Low areas throughout downtown
  • Below the Van Buren St Bridge to Main St
  • Swinney Park is flooded on both sides of the St. Marys River
  • Below W. Jefferson St Bridge (between Swinney Park and Taylor St)
  • Between Juliette Ave and Vesey Ave
  • Below the Bluffton Rd Bridge
  • Foster Park to Tillman Park 

St. Joseph Pathway

  • Below the Parnell Ave Bridge between the entrance to Johnny Appleseed Park and Spy Run Ext 
  • Below the St. Joe Ctr Rd Bridge

 

Maumee Pathway - East of Anthony Blvd to Moser Park, the Maumee Pathway is flooded

  • From Niagara (east of Anthony) to Moser Park in New Haven

 Please be aware, during or following a rainfall, portions of the trail network may be muddy and/or slippery. Please slow down and use caution, especially on boardwalks.  Always use caution whenever you encounter a wet section of trail.
