A tract of land 200 x 134 for a small playground at Turpie & Manford Streets was received from Mr. Richard Waterfield in 1969.

The new playground will include a revised overall layout of the playground, increasing the overall size. New equipment, safety surfacing and hard-surface playground borders will provide a completely new and updated experience for children ages 2-12. The new playground will promote physical, social and emotional development, and offer a variety of play experiences including climbing, sliding, swinging, balance activities and ground-level sensory fun and learning. New bench seating will be added around the playground's perimeter, providing a comfortable spot for parents and grandparents to relax while keeping an eye on their children.
