Fort Wayne, IN.: The Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation Department’s neighborhood carnival scheduled for Lakeside Park today, 5 - 7 pm, will take place inside both Lakeside pavilions. This is a free neighborhood event. The carnival will have games, food and fun for kids and their families.

Also, at 4:45 pm in Lakeside’s Pavilion #2, Mayor Tom Henry and Parks and Recreation Director Al Moll will announce this year’s Playful City USA designation, along with a list of 2015 and 2016 playground improvements.

The following neighborhood carnivals are scheduled for the rest of the season:

June 24, Lafayette Park, 5 – 7 pm

July 8, Hamilton Park, 5 – 7 pm

July 15, Packard Park, 5 – 7 pm

July 22, Cooper Community Center, 5 – 7 pm

July 29, Hanna Homestead, 5 – 7 pm

August 1, Memorial Park, 3 – 5 pm
