Fort Wayne, IN: Enjoy the Three Rivers Festival fireworks finale downtown on the Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory terrace, Saturday, July 16 from 7-10 p.m.
Bring your lawn chair and join us as we bring you the musical stylings of local jazz artists. This year we’re treating you to the talents of The Trinell Armour Project and the Alicia Pyle Quartet. Armour is a Jazz Fusion vocalist who experiments with a wide range of genres including Soul, Blues and Rock. Her roots come from singing gospel locally and from fifteen years as a background vocalist. She is also a multi-genre songwriter. The Alicia Pyle Quartet is well known in Fort Wayne for their spirited renditions of jazz standards and their unique, signature sound combining classical music with Latin/funk grooves and elements of jazz/rock as well as showcasing their original music. The APQ is considered one of the best jazz groups in Fort Wayne. Find your spot on the Terrace or in the Exploration Garden to experience the music, then you’ll be ready with one of the best seats in downtown for the Festival finale fireworks. Food and beverage are available for purchase; no outside food or beverage allowed.
Doors open at 6 p.m. No reservations needed. Regular Conservatory admission applies, $5/adult, $3/child age 3-17; discount with TRF button. Active volunteers admitted free. For additional information, call (260) 427-6440. Sponsored by 89.1 WBOI and WANE-TV 15.
