Fort Wayne, IN—The Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation Department,  Kingston Healthcare and Active Day supports the Alzheimer’s Association by inviting the public to the Summer Solstice Celebration, a cookout with music, entertainment, arts and games.

This event is part of a global awareness movement to help end Alzheimer’s disease. Most activities will be free, including music and dance performances by the Alley Kats and Community Cloggers, as well as other local performance groups, music by Remember When, Karaoke and a sing-along, pottery and painting displays, and games including shuffleboard, table box hockey and a downtown scavenger hunt. An Historic Downtown Walking Tour will take place at 1 pm for a $3 donation. Box lunches may be purchased for $5. (Box lunches will be fresh-off-the-grill burgers, chips, cookie and soft drink.)

The Summer Solstice Celebration is sponsored by the Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation Department, Kingston Healthcare Company and Active Day.
