Saturday’s Little Explorers Science Series Cancelled

Fort Wayne, Ind.—The Little Explorers Science Series: Bugs! scheduled for Saturday, May 6 at 10 am has been cancelled due to anticipated flooding in the area. The series will resume at 10 – 10:30 am, Saturday June 3 in Lawton Park (Kids’ Crossing), North Clinton and East 4th Street.

First Thursday of the month

May 4, 5 – 8 pm

The Conservatory is open on the first Thursday night of the month for a discounted admission of just $1 per person. During each $1 Night you can also drop in to our program room for a fun and educational lecture or activity. No reservations required. We validate parking tickets from the Civic Center Parking Garage for free parking. For more information, call (260) 427-6440.

Public Meeting: Memorial Park Proposals

Fort Wayne, Ind--The Board of Park Commissioners invites the community to attend a public meeting to review proposals for the partnership with Indiana Tech to construct a new track and field facility, softball stadium, and athletic training and office facility in Memorial Park. Plans to relocate memorials within the park will also be discussed.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 pm, Thursday, May 4 at the Memorial Park Pavilion,  2301 Maumee.

Northeast Indiana Regional Development Authority Approves Funding for Riverfront Development Phase 1

Perspectives Live Butterfly Display

April 8 – June 25

At the Conservatory’s newest exhibit of live butterflies, you’ll get three perspectives on these winged creatures as well as “up close and personal” time in our exhibit tent. With design input from a group of Ball State University students, the garden offers you views from microscopic, backyard, and global angles.

Buckner Park Entrance Restrictions

Fort Wayne, Ind. – Due to the Bass Road improvement project, Bass Road will be closed from Clifty Parkway to the Buckner Park entrance beginning April 3. Those who wish to enter Buckner Park will need to access the park from the west on Bass Road. The road is expected to be reopened in October.
