History
The Boone Street Playlot was acquired with Revenue Sharing funds in 1969. During this time there was a big push to create Neighborhood Associations which were given a major role in selecting projects for these funds. Neighborhood Associations determined additional park land should be a priority and thus Boone Street Playlot (as well as other playlots) was developed.

A revitalized playground at Boone Street Playlot will include new equipment and synthetic turf surfacing. This new equipment promotes physical, social, and emotional development for children ages 2-12. With a variety of movement opportunities, the playground encourages inclusiveness for children of all abilities. From climbing structures to slides, swings, and balance activities, there is something for every child to enjoy. Not only does this new equipment offer endless fun, but it also promotes group play and social connection, enhancing the sense of community within the neighborhood. New bench seating will be added around the playground's perimeter, providing a comfortable spot for parents and grandparents to relax while keeping an eye on their children.
Accessibility updates at Boone Street Playlot are made possible by a 2023 grant from the AWS Foundation.
