Please be aware, during or following a rainfall, portions of the trail network may be muddy and/or slippery. Please slow down and use caution, especially on boardwalks.  Always use caution whenever you encounter a wet section of trail.  During the winter months, use caution and be on the look out for ice!


Trail Closures and Detours due to Flooding: 

NONE.  - Please use caution when on the trails.  Some of the trails are still snow covered.  Many trails have had the snow removed but are slick due to ice accumulation. 

Trail Closures and Detours due to Construction: 

Maumee Pathway by Morton Street Pump Station - Closed  January 15th thru January 22nd -  There will be a 1-week closure of the Maumee Pathway at the Morton St Pump Station.  In order to get around the closure, trail users should use the ramp at Anthony to to Edgewater where they can pick up the trail (or vice versa).  This will be a very short closure so no official detour will be posted. 

Maumee Pathway - Closed east of Pemberton to Coliseum Dec. 3rd thru mid-January There will be a 4 to 6 week closure of the Maumee Pathway between Pemberton and Coliseum for a City Utilities project on the trail near pond 3.  There will be no detour for this closure.

St. Marys Pathway -  Closed at Thieme Dr and Berry St  from September 19, 2018 thru September 2020 - The St. Marys Pathway will be closed at Thieme Dr and Berry St for the construction of a drop shaft, part of the Tunnel Works Project.  A detour is planned along W. Main St to Greenwood Ave and into Swinney Park.  This detour will be signed by 9/21.  Detour Route Map

St. Marys Pathway -  Closed for NIPSCO river remediation work by Historic Old Fort from September 11, 2018 thru early 2019- There will be no thru traffic at the Old Fort from the Spy Run Bridge to the Old Fort footbridge. A detour will remain in effect until the work is complete.  The detour will follow the sidewalk on the Spy Run Bridge south to the sidewalk on Superior to the sidewalk on the west side of Clinton where it will reconnect with the St. Marys Pathway on the north side of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Bridge.  Detour Route Map

Pemberton Levee Trail - Closed for City Utilities Project - This trail will be closed from the Maumee Pathway to Lake Avenue for the duration of the project.  This trail will likely remain closed through early 2019.  Trail users should use Pemberton Ave during this closure.

St. Marys Pathway -  Closed for Riverfront Development, Phase I Construction from September 5, 2017 thru June 2019 - St. Marys Pathway is closed from the east side of the Harrison St Bridge and the Historic Wells St. BridgeTo begin the first phase of the riverfront development, a segment of the St. Marys Pathway will undergo a detour during the construction period.  The trail will be closed beginning on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 and it will remain closed until the Promenade Park is constructed.  Please follow the sidewalk detour using 3rd St, crossing Wells St and going south on the sidewalk on the west side of Wells St to reconnect with the St. Marys Pathway in East Bloomingdale Park (or vice versa!).  Detour Route Map
