The time is perfect to start your garden, with veggies and herbs on sale at the Botanical Conservatory all weekend! We have a wonderful, healthy assortment, such as tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, cabbage, strawberries, parsley, chives, basil, rosemary, lavender, sage and fennel. There’s no admission fee to shop!

Fort Wayne is the largest city in Indiana to achieve the “Playful City USA” designation with only four Hoosier cities qualifying. Nationwide, 212 cities were named a 2014 Playful City USA Community by the non-profit organization, KaBOOM!
Fort Wayne, IN: The Foellinger Theatre at Franke Park is kicking off its summer season May 24th with a Hotel California concert and a special collection for the Community Harvest Food Bank. This collection is coordinated by the Employee Task Force for Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation, and is one of many service efforts the employees have been responsible for.
The City’s free splash pads will be turned on Saturday, May 24, with plans to keep them turned on until Labor Day.
Northside Pool will be open May 24 – 26 and May 31 – June 1, opening daily starting June 7. McMillen Pool will be open May 31 – June 1, with daily hours also starting June 7. Memorial Pool will open for the season on June 7.

Thursday, May 1, 5 – 8 pm
On the first Thursday night of the month the Botanical Conservatory in downtown Fort Wayne offers $1 admissions, 5-8 pm, for adults and children. Babies and up to age 2 are still admitted free.
