This magnificent old building sits majestically along Dupont Road on a small working farm operated
by the Parks and Recreation Department. The peaceful, bucolic setting includes a pond, wetlands,
livestock pens, vegetable gardens, prairie grasses and crop fields. The barn, originally built in the
late 1800’s, housed livestock and stored farm equipment and served the farm for over 100 years.
The barn has been restored to capture the rustic look of the historical structure. The old barn features a large seating area and tables for up to 170 guests and a separate
room for the catering operation. A separate but adjacent building houses the restrooms. The Old
Barn may be reserved from May-October. Rental fees begin as low as $260 for 6 hours
or $480 for 14 hours (9:00 am-11:00 pm).
All Events (with or without alcohol) will be charged a Staff Fee of $15/hour during the event (does not include set-up/decoration time). All events that serve alcohol will be charged a Security Service Fee of $30/hour (from the start of alcohol service until the end of the event) for an officer.
You can now view the Alcohol Special Use Policy that pertains to the rental of certain park
facilities, including Salomon Barn, if interested.

Barn Rental Testimonials
The simplicity of the barn and the outdoor scenery provided a beautiful backdrop for my daughter's reception. Susan L.
Grant was great who came out and opened the barn. We look forward to having our event at Salomon Farm Park again next year. Thanks! Tamy Z.
On October 4, 2006 there was a special dedication of the renovated historic barn built in 1871.
