FREE TENNIS, GOLF AND SWIMMING LESSONS!
2021 Lifetime Sports Academy
The Lifetime Sports Academy, under the supervision of Academy Director and Wayne High School teacher and track coach, Tom Hogan, is open to boys and girls ages 7-18 and offers free group lessons in the lifetime sports of golf, tennis and swimming. Group lessons in golf, tennis and swimming will focus on skill development, training, and participation and will be taught by certified coaches and highly trained professionals and volunteers.
Participants may come as often as they wish and stay as long as they like. Special activities such as soccer, softball and volleyball will be organized at various times throughout the week for children not participating in group lessons. The Fort Wayne Community Schools summer lunch program will also be available at McMillen Park for Academy participants. The Lifetime Sports Academy is funded by the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department and Lifetime Sports Academy Committee and is offered FREE to area youth.
You may register at the McMillen Park Pavilion on the first day of the Academy or any time during the summer. Or you may Register on-line. Those who pre-register will only need to “check-in” at their first visit to the Academy.

Information on First Tee!!
The Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation Department’s Lifetime Sports Academy is sponsoring the First Tee National School Program in 34 Fort Wayne Community Elementary Schools for the sixth year the fall of 2019. The First Tee in-school golf program promotes character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf and is the result of a cooperative effort between the Indiana PGA, the Indiana Golf Foundation, Inc. and Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation.
