Halloween Haunt

Saturday, October 15, 1-4 pm
Community Center, 233 W. Main Street

Downtown Fort Wayne becomes a haven for monsters, ghosts, vampires and zombies on Saturday afternoon.  Bring your little goblins to the Community Center for an afternoon of frightful fun.  There will be a minimum charge for games for kids and the whole family.  You will be able to enjoy free face painting and a free snack.  Fort Wayne Youth Theatre will be performing at 2 pm.  Concessions will be available for sale.  Admission is free. 

Car Show Spooktacular
Saturday, October 15, 5-8 pm
Community Center, 233 W. Main St.

Check out all of the spooky rides cruising in at the Community Center! There is a $10 entry fee per car and Dash Plaques will be given to the first 50 entries. The top 6 Best Decorated Vehicles will receive awards. A Costume Contest for two age groups, Adult (13& up) and Child (12&under) will also be a part of the evening. Enjoy Trunk-or Treat- ing, Pumpkin Decorating Contest, tunes from DJ Fast Eddie and lots of fun games and contests. This frightfully fun evening is brought to you by Krooz In’ Calendar. FREE ADMISSION!

Veterans’ Breakfast & Bingo

The Community Center will honor the men and women who have served our country in the Military with a FREE breakfast and Bingo. American Legion Band of Fort Wayne will provide live music. Call 427-6460 by Monday, November 7 to reserve your seat. Sponsored by American Senior Communi- ties, Englewood Health and Rehab, and Life Care Center of Fort Wayne. After breakfast, stay for Bingo at 10:00 a.m. It’s free and prizes include gift cards Heritage Park Summit City Glenbrook Canterbury Bethlehem Woods Coventry Meadows

Santa’s Workshop at the Community Center

Start your downtown celebration at the Com- munity Center with free holiday activities for the kids. There will be crafts, refreshments and movies. Donate a new or gently used bear and enter a drawing to win a giant elf bear. Kids can shop for inexpensive holiday gifts ($3 or less) at the North Pole Stop-n-Shop while Mom and Dad can shop for hand-crafted items in the Crafters Corner. Finally, check out the light display on the Community Center roof when we turn on the lights at 6:00.

Family Movies

It’s movie time! All features are family- friendly and shown right here at the Com- munity Center. Admission is just $1 and includes popcorn and a beverage (in Decem- ber it’s hot chocolate and cookies). Adults must be accompanied by at least one child over the age of 3. Call 427-6460 by 4:30 p.m. the day before the movie is being shown to reserve your seat. All movies are rated PG. Show Times: 5:30 p.m.

Donations of hardback books, paperback books and DVD’s will be accepted through the Wednesday before the sale. Book sales are open to the public.
