Please be aware, during or following a rainfall, portions of the trail network may be muddy and/or slippery. Please slow down and use caution, especially on boardwalks. Always use caution whenever you encounter a wet section of trail. During the winter months, be mindful of the potential for ice. In the instance of accumulating snowfall, trails are cleared when 3 or more inches are recorded.
Trail Closures and Detours:
Veterans Memorial Bridge: The trails at the northeast corner of the Veterans Memorial bridge are being reconstructed. Work is expected to be completed by 9/30. The Water Filtration Plant closure is not related to this project.
St.Joe Pathway: A short distance of the Rivergreenway will be temporarily closed along Spy Run Extended near Dunnwood Dr. for construction of a new ramp. Please use the grass shoulder or roadway to circumnavigate.
Maumee Pathway (New Haven): The boardwalk(s) between Landin Road Bridge and Rose Avenue are closed for repairs. Trail users should utilize the Landin Road trail (west side) to bypass the area.
Maplecrest Rd Trail: Construction on E State Blvd near Georgetown has complicated crossing E State. Please use caution in the area.
Yarnelle Trail (W Jefferson Blvd.): A small section of trail has been removed for utility work along W Jefferson Blvd. near the intersection with Main St. Please use nearby parking lots to circumnavigate.
Hanna St. Trail: Restoration work is being done on the trail along the 2400 block Hanna Street.
Foster Park Area: Please see the Foster Park Rivergreenway trail closure & detour map.
Rivergreenway Pathways:
- Beginning June 5th, the St.Joseph Pathway will close at the Water Filtration Plant. Trail users should use the St.Joseph Boulevard Pathway (east side of river) to navigate around the closure. Detour signage is posted.
- The pedestrian bridge just South of Lawton Park is closed for reconstruction. A posted detour is in place. Please note that this will be a long-term closure. While this bridge is part of the St.Marys Pathway, its location is important to the connection of all Rivergreenway Pathways, meaning that many Rivergreenway trail users may be impacted. We apologize for the inconvenience.
- Please see this map for guidance around these projects, if needed.
Pufferbelly Trail (North Section): The Pufferbelly Trail North of Carroll Rd. (currently an unpaved nature trail) is closed by Allen County while clearing and construction take place. Please do not cross barricades.
Landin Road Trail: A section of the Landin Road Trail (east side) is closed for construction north of North River Road. Please utilize the trail on the west side to bypass the area. Contact New Haven Parks (260-749-2212) with questions.
