A groundbreaking ceremony was held on September 18, 2024 to celebrate the redevelopment of Brewer Park in the Mount Vernon Park Neighborhood.
The newly renovated park will feature:
- Two new playgrounds
- A new splash pad,
- Covered pavilion
- Park restrooms.
- A ¼ mile perimeter walking path
- Two new basketball courts
- New pedestrian connections to the neighborhood.
- Significant landscaping improvements including planting of shade trees, ornamental trees, and a new art garden.
