City Youth Centers Participate in Safe Haven Classic 

Fort Wayne, Ind.--The Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation Department’s youth centers, Weisser, Cooper and Jennings, are participating in the Safe Haven Basketball Tournament October 11 - 12. The week’s activities begin with open houses at the three park sites and end with exciting basketball games at Lakeside Middle School, Weisser Park Elementary School and Greater Progressive Family Life Center.  

Rivergreenway Detour During Bridge Reconstruction 

Fort Wayne, Ind. – Beginning Friday, September 13th, there will be a short detour on the Maumee Pathway, between North Anthony Blvd. and Pemberton Drive, while the North Anthony Bridge is reconstructed.

Many playgrounds still need TLC

Fort Wayne, Ind.—Over 70 Lincoln Financial Group employees organized their own Day of Caring event and are spending the day painting the Pond Pavilion and Pavilion # 1 at Franke Park. Employees also rolled up their sleeves and cut back the overgrown vegetation in the area.

Harambee Festival and Parade

Fort Wayne, Ind.--Bring the family and join the fun for the 20^th Annual Harambee Festival at Weisser Park (Hanna and Drexel Streets) Saturday, August 3^rd. The festival starts with a parade from Pontiac Street to Hanna Street at 10 am.
