Fort Wayne, IN: Give unwanted items new life and purpose through “upcycling.” The Botanical Conservatory’s Re:Create event will be fun and informative for ages 8 and older. See examples of fantastic metal scrap sculpture by Mark Phenicie; get ideas for re-using plastic bottles and discarded toys in the garden; learn to crochet “plarn” into rugs and bags; and explore the many possibilities of a simple film canister.

City of Fort Wayne warming station update

Fort Wayne, Ind. – The City of Fort Wayne will continue to have a warming station available until further notice. The Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation Department’s Community Center, 233 W. Main St., is open 24 hours a day for anyone in need of a warm place to stay as a result of the winter weather conditions.
