City of Fort Wayne warming station update

Fort Wayne, Ind. – The City of Fort Wayne will continue to have a warming station available until further notice. The Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation Department’s Community Center, 233 W. Main St., is open 24 hours a day for anyone in need of a warm place to stay as a result of the winter weather conditions.

Fort Wayne, IN—Celebrate winter with a visit to downtown Fort Wayne on Saturday, January 31! The 4th Annual Winterval festival promises a full day of indoor and outdoor winter fun for all ages.The Community Center’s FREE Winter Carnival runs from 1 – 4 pm and includes horse and carriage rides, games, crafts and yummy treats to warm you inside and out. Sponsored by American Senior Communities and the Community Center Foundation.

Fort Wayne, IN.: The skating ponds at Lakeside, East Swinney, Franke and Reservoir Parks will remain closed. Signs prohibiting skating will be posted at all of the ponds, along with the red lights and flags already displayed.
