On Monday, November 25, from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m., friends, neighbors and families are invited to gather at one of Fort Wayne's newest parks, McKinnie Commons, for a night filled with community spirit and celebration. This event, presented in partnership with the Greater Fort Wayne National Pan-Hellenic Council, promises an evening that highlights togetherness and joy.
The Unity Lighting event isn't just about the lights—it's about the connections formed with those around us. Throughout the evening, attendees can enjoy live entertainment, listen to inspiring speakers from the community and take home some fun, free giveaways. Last year, over 200 people came together for this special night, making it a truly memorable occasion for all involved.
As the evening draws to a close, the highlight of the event is the lighting of the Unity Light Display. This moment is a symbol of the community’s strength and the bonds that bring everyone together. It's a beautiful way to kick off the holiday season, with the glow of the lights reflecting the warmth of the season and the people who make Fort Wayne special.
Whether it's your first time attending or you're returning for another year, the Unity Lighting event is a chance to celebrate what makes Fort Wayne unique—the unity of its community. So, bring your loved ones, bundle up, and get ready to be part of a night filled with joy and light at McKinnie Commons.
McKinnie Commons is located at 1815 McKinnie Avenue at the northeast corner of McKinnie and South Anthony Blvd.
