Starting on November 23, at 12:00 p.m., the Headwaters Park Ice Skting Rink opens its doors to the public, welcoming everyone to enjoy some outdoor ice-skating fun.
The rink will be open throughout the season with a variety of hours to fit any schedule. From Monday to Friday, the rink will operate from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on weekends, it will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. However, after January 6, the rink will close on Mondays and Tuesdays, so plan accordingly. For those looking to enjoy some extended holiday fun, special hours are available on November 27 and 29, December 23, 26, 27, as well as January 2 and 3, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. On New Year's Eve, the rink will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., providing the perfect way to glide into 2024.
Admission is affordable, making it easy for families and friends to come together and enjoy the fun. Skaters aged three and older can enter for just $6, while those two and under get in for free. Skate rentals are available for $3, and for regular visitors, a punch pass can be purchased for $50, giving you 10 entries. Spectators are welcome to watch the action for free and parking is also free of charge.
For those looking to spice up their ice-skating experience, Thursday Theme Nights are back starting in December to add a little extra excitement to your time on the ice. From 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursdays, you can participate in special themed events, with general admission and skate fees applying. The themes this year range from an energetic '80s Night on December 5, to a pop-filled 'Skate it Off (Taylor’s Version)' on December 12. As the holidays approach, 'Holiday Cheer' on December 19 is sure to be a crowd-pleaser, and if you're skating after the festivities, check out 'Popular Pop' on December 26. Heading into the new year, there’s 'Skate into the New Year' on January 2, followed by 'School Spirit Night' on January 9, 'Sport Jersey Night' on January 16, and 'Broadway Night' on January 23.
In addition to these fun evenings, Headwaters Ice Rink is excited to announce Dr. Crawford Days, a special opportunity for even more affordable skating. On January 30, February 6, 13 and 20, skaters can enjoy $1 admission and $1 skate rentals. Each of these days has its own theme, with 'Super Hero Night' on February 6 and a sweet Valentine's-themed 'Sweetheart Skate' on February 13, among others.
