The Sweetheart Orchid Display, happening from February 1 through March 2, invites visitors to explore the stunning nature of orchids in the Conservatory’s Tropical House. With their elegant shapes and vibrant, long-lasting blooms, orchids are the perfect symbol of summer in winter.
Guests will not only get to enjoy the breathtaking orchid display, but also have the chance to bring a piece of the experience home. The Conservatory Shop will feature orchids and other unique plants for sale. Admission to this display is included with the general entry fee, making it an ideal outing for plant lovers and anyone looking for a refreshing escape.
Adding to the excitement, there is a two-day Orchid Show presented by the Three Rivers Orchid Society. This show takes place on February 1 and 2. On February 1, the show runs from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m., with live potting demonstrations scheduled at 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. The following day, February 2, the event continues from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. Visitors are able to marvel at a wide variety of blooming orchids, carefully displayed by local experts who will be on hand to answer questions about growing and caring for these fascinating plants. Both the display and the show are included with general admission.
Whether you’re a seasoned orchid enthusiast or just starting to develop a green thumb, this event has something for everyone. The live potting demonstrations offer a chance to learn valuable tips and tricks for keeping orchids healthy and thriving. Plants and potting materials will also be available for purchase making it easy to start or expand your collection.
