Fort Wayne is home to Foster, Shoaff, and McMillen Park golf courses, each offering something different for golfers of all skill levels. Foster Park Golf Course, located at Rudisill Blvd. and Old Mill Road, is known for its beautiful landscape and traditional championship style layout. Shoaff Park Golf Course, on St. Joe Road, is a par 3 course and also features a driving range perfect for warming up or practicing your swing. McMillen Park Golf Course, on Oxford Street, offers a relaxed atmosphere with both an executive style course and driving range. For those looking for a short game, Mad Anthony III’s Short Course is a great place to sharpen your skills.
Affordable Fun for the Whole Family
Golf is a fantastic way to spend time outdoors, and Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation makes it easy for families to get involved. Kids age 14 and under can play for free with a paying adult after 6:00 p.m. at Foster, Shoaff and McMillen and any time during public hours at the Mad Anthony III’s Short Course.
For students, there’s an extra bonus—just show a current school ID and get $2 off greens fees at Shoaff and Foster Park Golf Courses. Women also get a deal with Ladies Day, offering reduced fees for nine holes on Mondays at Foster and Fridays at Shoaff before 3:00 p.m.
Deals and Discounts
Frequent golfers can take advantage of several specials throughout the season. Purchasing the Frequent Player Card offers five-rounds/nine-holes (without cart) with a free sixth nine-hole round. If you like to play early, the Weekday Combo provides 18 holes with a cart for a discounted price before noon. And if you prefer to hit the course in the evening, the Weekday Twilight Special offers reduced greens fees after 6:00 p.m. on weekdays.
Lessons, Leagues and Tournaments
New to the game or looking to improve? Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation offers group and individual golf instruction with certified PGA professionals. Junior and Pee Wee Golf Tours help young golfers develop their skills in a fun, supportive environment. For those who enjoy a little competition, leagues and tournaments are available throughout the season. Whether you’re looking for a casual weekly league or a bigger tournament event, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.
