The annual Mother’s Day Plant Sale is back and ready to kick off the spring season with a huge selection just in time for planting. Over 700 different varieties will be available, including herbs, vegetable starts, flowering perennials, native plants, annuals, hanging baskets, bonsai and houseplants. You’ll also find practical items like potting soil and compost worms to help enrich get your garden soil.

All the plants are locally grown, and there will be a team of plant experts on hand to answer questions and help shoppers choose the best plants for their space. This is a great chance to stock up on quality plants while supporting Fort Wayne’s very own Botanical Conservatory. All proceeds from the sale go directly back into helping maintain and grow the Conservatory.

The Botanical Conservatory is currently looking for volunteers to help make the event a success. Volunteer opportunities are available from setup on May 6-8, and during the sale on:

  • Thursday, May 8, from 3:30 - 7:15 p.m.
  • Friday, May 9, from 12:30 - 4:00 p.m. and 3:30 - 7:15 p.m.

  • Sunday, May 11, from 10:30 a.m. - 2:15 p.m.
