Looking for a way to keep the kids active, engaged, and having fun this summer? Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation has it covered with their popular Summer Activity PODS. Positive Outdoor Days of Summer or PODS is a series of exciting, half-day programs designed to spark creativity, build friendships, and keep kids moving all summer long.
Each POD is built around a unique theme, from art and animals to sports, science, cooking and more. Whether your child wants to craft, act, explore nature, get wet or even become a mini detective, there's a POD to match their interests. Sessions are small and limited to just 16 participants, which allows for every child to have plenty of attention and opportunities to join in the fun.
Families can choose either a morning (9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.) or afternoon (1:00–4:00 p.m.) session each week or sign up for both. For those attending both, a supervised lunch break is provided—just pack a lunch and let the fun continue! Each session costs $75 and includes an official PODS t-shirt.
Programs are offered at various Fort Wayne Parks and community locations, running weekly from June 9 through August 1. With registration deadlines one week prior to each session and limited space available, early sign-up is encouraged.
