History:
In 1864, the land that would become Moody Park was acquired from Julian Benoit. It was once the site of a large gravel pit and horse barn but is now a quaint plot of land hidden away in the picturesque West Central Neighborhood. In fact, Moody Park was known as West Central Park until 1981 when it was renamed in honor of the co-creator of Wellspring Interfaith Social Services, Reverend Bill Moody.
