History
In June of 1933 the Park Board purchased from George B. Buist, with the Packard Piano Company the land which is now known as Packard Park. The land was purchased for $12,000.

Packard Park proposed Master Plan pictured above
Packard Park Redevelopment project is slated to begin construction late 2024, with completion anticipated in summer 2025. The newly renovated park will feature:
- Two new playgrounds, event lawn and event plaza
- A 1/8-mile perimeter walking path. New pedestrian connections to the neighborhood.
- Significant landscaping improvements including planting of shade trees, ornamental trees, and general landscape improvements.
- Opportunities for public art referencing the musical Packard Piano Company history of the property.
- Project budget = $2 million

Pavilion
Packard Park features an open air shelter with tables for picnicking that is available on a first come/first served basis.
Playground
Children will be entertained all day by this playground with multiple slides, a swing set and other amenities.
Softball Diamond
Packard also features a softball diamond with bleacher seating for spectators.
