Water Filtration and Sewage Treatment Plant Tours

Saturdays, 10 am

Water Filtration Plant, 1100 Griswold Drive: October 14, November 11

Sewage Treatment Plant, 2601 Dwenger Avenue: October 21, November 18

Did you know that Fort Wayne is currently undertaking its largest ever public infrastructure project? Did you know that this project will have major effects on our river water quality? Fort Wayne City Utilities is heading up the Tunnel Works project to improve our river water quality. Riverfront Fort Wayne is excited to partner with City Utilities to give you a behind-the-scenes look at what happens at both ends of our water system: how we clean the water from the rivers for home use and how we clean that used-water for placement back into the rivers. These tours are fascinating and free! Ages 12+.

The entrance to the Three Rivers Water Filtration Plant is on Spy Run Ave. across from the Old Fort. Heading north on Spy Run, turn right on Baltes Ave., then proceed through the gates, turn right, and proceed to the front of the plant.

Parking for the Sewage Treatment Plant is located across the street from the Plant. For more information, visit www.riverfrontfw.org
