Fort Wayne, Ind. – DSL*Dire Straits Legacy comes to Foellinger Theatre on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 8 p.m. and tickets will go on sale Friday, April 10.
DSL* Dire Straits Legacy brings the music of Dire Straits played by the musicians who made it. Since its inception in 2008, the following 7 members of Dire Straits have joined this band: Dire Straits Hall of Fame members John Illsley, Alan Clark and Pick Withers, and Dire Straits legends Phil Palmer, Mel Collins, Jack Sonni and Danny Cummings. The group has also attracted some musicians from other bands including Steve Ferrone drummer from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Average White Band, and Sir Trevor Horn, bass player from the Buggles, ABC, and Yes. They will be playing all of their hits including “Money for Nothing,” “Sultans of Swing,” “Walk of Life,” “So Far Away,” and so many others. The Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department has announced the 2020 “Music You Know By Heart” Concert Series at the Foellinger Theatre, featuring shows from national acts performing the music of classic bands.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 10 at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com or by phone at the Parks and Recreation office, 260-427-6000. Phone sales begin Friday, April 10 at 10 a.m. then will be available Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
