Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department is still accepting registrations for after-school programs at the three Community Youth Centers: Weisser Park, Jennings, and Cooper Centers. The programs begin Thursday, August 13, in conjunction with the beginning of the Fort Wayne Community Schools academic year, and will be held Monday-Thursday afternoons from 3 – 7 p.m. and Fridays 3 – 5 p.m. when school is in session. Students must be registered to participate.

During these programs, children will have competent, active supervision as they participate in a variety of fun and educational activities including fitness, crafts, STEAM and more. The centers have created a comprehensive safety strategy to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic as these programs are in place.

Full details about the programs and safety protocol, along with links to register, can be found at fortwayneparks.org.
