Punkin Path

October 6-November 1, Regular Conservatory hours

Botanical Conservatory, 1100 S. Calhoun St.

The Botanical Conservatory welcomes visitors to the Punkin Path enjoy fall surroundings in our outdoor Exploration Garden decorated in its seasonal best! As part of this interactive display, visitors can take part in festive activities, photo ops and brain teasers that reveal a secret message along the way. Everyone’s favorite garden gnomes will also be back and more mischievous than ever before. Included with regular Conservatory admission. Sponsored by 97.3 WMEE.

Active Aging Week

October 5-9, various times

Community Center, 233 W. Main St. (some events are at other locations)

This weeklong series of events is designed to celebrate the positivity of aging today. It showcases the capabilities of older adults as fully participating members of society and spotlights the role models that lead the way. There is no charge for Active Aging Week events, however, pre-registration is required and space is limited. Call 260-427-6460 or stop by the Community Center to sign up. Registration deadlines are two days prior to each event. Check-in for tournaments is 30 minutes before each event. More details at fortwayneparks.org or call 260-427-6460.

 

Trek the Trails: Ice Way Trailhead

Tuesday, Oct. 6, 6:10 p.m.

Parking lot south of SportONE Parkview Fieldhouse, 3946 Ice Way

Join local trail users for weekly bike rides this summer to experience Fort Wayne on 2 wheels. Participants are asked to wear helmets and bring water along for the ride. All participants ride at their own risk. This summer and fall, the Conservatory invites visitors to escape the turbulence of daily life when embarking on a journey and exploring a garden state of mind. All are welcome to step into our Showcase Garden, designed to help visitors pause, relax and reflect. Sponsored by the English Bonter Mitchell Foundation, PBS Fort Wayne & MAJIC 95.1.
