Punkin Path

October 6-November 1, Regular Conservatory hours

Botanical Conservatory, 1100 S. Calhoun St.

The Botanical Conservatory welcomes visitors to the Punkin Path enjoy fall surroundings in our outdoor Exploration Garden decorated in its seasonal best! As part of this interactive display, visitors can take part in festive activities, photo ops and brain teasers that reveal a secret message along the way. Everyone’s favorite garden gnomes will also be back and more mischievous than ever before. Included with regular Conservatory admission. Sponsored by 97.3 WMEE.

Garden Trick or Treat

Saturday, Oct. 17, 12 - 3 p.m.

Botanical Conservatory, 1100 S. Calhoun St.

Visitors are invited to dress in costume and join us in this new experience at the Conservatory where they may listen to a trick and enjoy a treat at several stations set up throughout our indoor and outdoor gardens! Also, visitors can catch a spell and snap boo-tiful photos when making their way through the scenic Punkin Path. Regular Conservatory admission applies: $5/adult, $3/child; free for ages 2 and under. Confluence Kitchen: Featuring the Culture of Germany

Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020, 12 - 3 p.m.

Park Foundation Pavilion, Promenade Park, 202 W. Superior St.

Price: $8

Confluence Kitchen is a quarterly event celebrating various cultures around the world. Come swap recipes, pick up some words in German, snap a few selfies at the themed photo booth and learn about the real fairy tales from the Brothers Grimm. Delicious German food will be available for purchase. All ages are welcome. Drop-ins are welcome if space is available, however, we recommend registering in advance as space is limited. Raven Scavenger Hunt

Saturday, Oct. 17, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Promenade Park, 202 W. Superior St.

All are invited to search for Ravens in disguise throughout the park. Participants can snap a picture of the raven(s) they find, and raven hunters who find all 11 ravens and show us their pictures at the Information Tent will be entered into a drawing to win a free pair of Winter Cozy tickets on January 23. Handmade Homemade Sale

Sunday, Oct. 18, 12 - 5 p.m.

Salomon Farm Park, 817 W. Dupont Rd.

Time to start holiday shopping! If it was grown locally or made by hand it will be for sale at this special sale. Crafters and artisans will be selling their handmade homemade goods at Salomon Farm Park in the Wolf Family Learning Center.

 

Book Sale

October 13-15, 8 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Community Center, 233 W. Main St.

Book sales are open to the public and feature hardback books for $1, paperback books for 50¢ and DVDs for $1. Other items such as magazines, cards, VHS, CDs and puzzles are also available. Donations of these items are accepted year round.

 

Trek the Trails: Shoaff Park

Tuesday, Oct. 13, 6:10 p.m.

Conklin Pavilion parking lot, Shoaff Park, 6401 St. Joe Rd.

Join local trail users for weekly bike rides this summer to experience Fort Wayne on 2 wheels. Participants are asked to wear helmets and bring water along for the ride. All participants ride at their own risk. This summer and fall, the Conservatory invites visitors to escape the turbulence of daily life when embarking on a journey and exploring a garden state of mind. All are welcome to step into our Showcase Garden, designed to help visitors pause, relax and reflect.
