Fright Night: Raven Scavenger Hunt
Saturday, October 16, 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
Promenade Park, 202 W. Superior St.
Be on the lookout for Ravens in disguise throughout the park. Snap a picture of the raven(s) and leave them in their hiding spots for others to hunt. Raven hunters who find all of the ravens and show us their pictures at the blue Riverfront tent will be entered into a drawing to win a prize package. All ages are welcome and admission is free. Eternal Grief: ParaSisters Q & A Session
Season 8 Episode 3: A Haunting Series

Join Fort Wayne’s paranormal researchers, The ParaSisters, as they show their episode “Eternal Grief” from Destination America’s “A Haunting Series.” The ParaSisters find themselves deep into one of their most extreme paranormal cases, in a small community in Indiana. The owner, excited about her new home, soon experiences unexplained voices and scents, leaving her to believe that her home may be haunted. Afraid and needing help, she contacted The ParaSisters who documented the haunting. Stay for Q & A after the showing and find out more details of the haunting firsthand from The ParaSisters.
Halloween Haunt

Downtown Fort Wayne becomes a haven for monsters, ghosts, vampires and zombies on Saturday afternoon. Bring the little goblins to the Community Center for an afternoon of frightful fun with games and activities that are sure to keep everyone howling for more! Anthony Wayne Lions Club will have concessions available for purchase. Admission is free.
Rocky Horror Picture Show

It is our 13th season celebrating the time warp at the Botanical Conservatory! Weather permitting, this cult classic movie is shown on the outdoor Terrace as part of the Downtown Improvement District’s Fright Night. Lawn chairs welcome and encouraged. Food and beverage available for purchase from Mad Anthony Brewing Company; no outside food or beverage permitted. Please no rice or confetti during this participatory movie event. Garden Trick-or-Treat

Gather up the kiddos for this family friendly (not-so-scary) event as part of the Downtown Improvement District’s Fright Night festivities. Everyone is invited to wear their favorite costumes, listen to spook-tacular tricks and enjoy sweet treats at the Conservatory! Also, snap boo-tiful photos in the scenic outdoor Pumpkin Path. Pumpkin Path Display

We welcome all to the Pumpkin Path to enjoy fall surroundings in our outdoor Exploration Garden decorated in its seasonal best. As part of this interactive display, outsmart the garden gnomes who are back and more mischievous than before. Fireside Tales of Terror

Local Paranormal Investigators, the Original Para-Sisters, share their most chilling Fort Wayne stories around a cozy fire. Hear about the haunting history from some familiar places of people that dare not to be forgotten. Some stories may not be suited for all ages, but stories before 7 p.m. will be kid-friendly.
Handmade Homemade Sale

Time to start holiday shopping! If it was grown locally or made by hand it will be for sale at this special sale. Crafters and artisans will be selling their handmade homemade goods at Salomon Farm Park in the Wolf Family Learning Center and Old Barn.
Book Sale

Book sales are open to the public and feature hardback books for $1, paperback books for 50¢ and DVDs for $1. Other items such as magazines, cards, CDs and puzzles are also available. Donations of these items are accepted year-round.
Young Naturalist Series: Animals After Dark

Bring a flashlight and stay up late for this special Young Naturalist after dark! We will learn which animals wake up when the sun goes down, and how they use their other senses in the dark. Plus, we will light up the night with glow sticks, night games, and fun! Young Naturalists (ages 6-12) are invited to an hour of outdoor learning with crafts, games, and fascinating nature. Trek the Trails: Rockhill Park Trailhead

Trailhead in Rockhill Park, 1400 Catalpa St.
Join local trail users for weekly bike rides this summer to experience Fort Wayne on two wheels. Participants are asked to wear helmets and bring water along for the ride. All participants ride at their own risk. Tuesday rides will continue through the fall. Get an outdoor workout in before it is too cold! Stop by during instructor-supervised times on Wednesday mornings. Pre-registration is not required for these drop-in programs but must be completed before class. Please come 15 minutes in advance to register.
“Visions of the Old West” Garden Exhibit

Stroll down the main street of a not-quite-Ghost Town, listen to ragtime tunes from the honky-tonk saloon and appreciate the wild and rugged beauty of cacti, succulents and wildflowers in the surrounding hillsides. Pump water from the community well, play a game of cracker-barrel checkers in the shade and look over the “WANTED” posters for local outlaws. Summer annuals will make way for autumn chrysanthemums in warm russets, tawny golds and blazing orange. Sponsored by the M.E. Raker Foundation and Wilson Foundation.
