“Under the Big Top” Winter Showcase Exhibit

Until-April 17, Public hours

Botanical Conservatory, 1100 S. Calhoun Street

Come one, come all to the greatest circus Garden in town! The “Under the Big Top” exhibit opened January 8 at the Botanical Conservatory. Marvel at exotic topiary animals and astonishing plant oddities. This winter, everyone is invited to go to the circus and “clown around” under the Conservatory’s Botanical Big Top. Thanks to a donation from Old National Bank, Tuesday January 18, is a FREE Skate Day for children under the age of 14. Skate rental of $3 still applies or children can bring their own skates.

Sunday Heritage Concert Series

January 23, 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.

Park Foundation Pavilion, Promenade Park, 2020 West Superior Street

Enjoy an up-close and personal experience with local musicians in the Park Foundation Pavilion. Sunday, January 23 features The Shepherd’s Brass. This formal brass ensemble combines the sounds of trumpets, a French horn, trombones, and tuba playing a variety of songs from the roaring 20’s through the swing era and into the ballads and popular tunes of the 50’s and 60’s. If you are looking for sentimental music with a romantic flair this is a concert you will want to attend. We have space for 55 attendees so please ‘Mask Up’ and join us. Concert is FREE.
