Yoga on the Riverfront

Sunday, March 13, 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Park Foundation Pavilion, Promenade Park, 202 West Superior Street

Free yoga on the Riverfront continues this spring on the second Sunday of the month inside the Park Foundation Pavilion overlooking the St. Marys River. This relaxing, one-hour flow is for all skill levels, led by instructor Chelsea Vona, owner of Discover Yoga. Yoga mats can be provided if needed.

 

  Sunday Heritage Concert Series: Remember When Duets

Sunday, March 13, 2:00-3:00 p.m.

Park Foundation Pavilion, Promenade Park, 202 West Superior Street

Join us for an up-close and personal experience with local musicians and musical groups this spring. Remember When Duets is a dynamic duo consisting of the talented Jamie Foster playing melody on the trombone supported by the enthusiastic Eli “The Tuba Guy” Arnold. This duo covers a wide variety of old-time favorites including Ragtime, Dixieland, and Polka from as early as the 1800’s. Concerts are free and open to all ages. Seating inside will be on a first-come first-served basis and will vary by performance.

Spring is the season of new beginnings. Flowers bloom, animals awaken, and the earth seems to come to life once more. It is time for us to emerge from our homes and get back into nature. Meet us at the Park Foundation Pavilion for a fun paper bag kite craft and spring scavenger hunt that will have you exploring the fresh sights, smells, and sounds of the beginning of spring. Stop by anytime between 10am - 2pm for this free event that is open to all ages and abilities!

 

Pop-Up Job Fair

Sunday, March 20, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Park Foundation Pavilion, Promenade Park, 202 West Superior Street

You’ve heard of pop-up stores and pop-up restaurants, and perhaps you’ve shopped or dined at these temporary locations. Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation announces it’s first pop-up job fair to hire seasonal staff to join our team and work where you play—in the parks, at the pool, on the golf course, in the garden and community centers. Staff will be available at the Pavilion to talk to job seekers and tell them more about the positions and how to apply. Over 400 seasonal jobs are available with the Parks department for ages 16 and above.  

 

Sunday Heritage Concert Series: The Shepherd’s Brass

Sunday, March 27, 2:00-3:00 p.m.

Park Foundation Pavilion, Promenade Park, 202 West Superior Street

Join us for an up-close and personal experience with local musicians and musical groups this spring. The Shepherd’s Brass ensemble combines the sounds of trumpet, French horn, trombone, and tuba playing a variety of songs from the roaring 20’s through the swing era and into the ballads and popular tunes of the 50’s and 60’s. Concerts are free and open to all ages. Seating inside will be on a first-come first-served basis and will vary by performance.
