Jazzworks! Concert
Sunday, July 16, 6:00 -10:00 p.m., Doors open at 5:30p.m.
The Foellinger Freimann Botanical Conservatory, 1100 South Calhoun Street
This summer evening outdoor concert features Los Galaxy, Lisa McDavid and Ty Causey. Stick around too for the best view in town of the Three Rivers Festival fireworks finale! Food and beverage will be available for purchase from Mad Anthony Brewing Company; no outside food or beverage is permitted. Bring a lawn chair. All ages are welcome. Admission is $10. Trek the Trails Bike Ride

Parkview Safety Store, 1818 Carew Street
The 2022 Trek the Trails season continues on Tuesday evenings. Meet at the Parkview Safety Store for an 8.5 mile ride. There is no cost to participate. All experience levels are welcome and participation is at your own risk. Riders are encouraged to wear helmets. Trek the Trails is sponsored by Trek Bikes Fort Wayne, Fort Wayne Harley Davidson, and UAW 2209. River Rangers

Incorporate some STEM learning into your child’s summer experience at the Riverfront. On July 21, it’s Lego Day and time for a building challenge. River Rangers will be tasked to build various STEM projects with blocks that are provided. Participants can earn a STEM badge and take home some blocks. Tread the Trails

Tread the Trails is for individuals of all skill levels; runners, walkers and wheelchair users are invited to participate. All Tread the Trails events are five kilometers in distance, with the option for a longer or shorter experience if the participant chooses. All should be prepared with water. Individuals participate at their own risk. Tread the Trails takes place every other Thursday. Tread the Trails is organized by Fort Wayne Public Works and Fort Wayne Trails in partnership with the Fort Wayne Running Club and the City of New Haven. Pop-Up Concert: The Wildwoods

Connect with friends, live music and food at Promenade Park. Riverfront Fort Wayne and Trubble Brewing will host a fan favorite pop-up concert with The Wildwoods. The concert is free. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the first day of summer outdoors at the riverfront.
Foraging Wild Edibles
Saturday, July 23, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Salomon Farm Park, 817 Dupont Road
Forage for food in your own back yard! We will identify common edible plants at Salomon Farm Park and their toxic look-alikes. You will have the opportunity to taste some wild edible plants while learning how they can be used for food and medicine, as well as when and how to harvest them. This class is designed for ages 8 and above. Minors must be accompanied by a registered adult. Carrie Vrabel is a wild food forager who teaches regularly at state and county parks. She is certified by the state of Indiana as a Wild Mushroom Identification Expert and is the founder of Wild Edible Indiana. $18 per person. Registration deadline: July 20.

Travel Fort Wayne’s rivers on Sweet Breeze, an authentic 1840 canal boat replica. Choose 90 minute or a 45 minute cruise options on weekends or 60 minute option on Thursday evenings. Iris Sale

Local Iris hobbyists return to the Botanical Conservatory for this special occasion where you can purchase rhizomes of their favorite varieties. Bring home various colors and types such as Siberian, bearded, crested and more. You will surely enjoy them for years to come in spring and early summer! Regular admission rates apply. Presented by the Northeast Indiana Iris Society.
Sunday Heritage Concert Series: Shepherd’s Brass Quintet

This formal brass ensemble performs traditional classics, sacred music, popular tunes from the roaring ‘20s, swing from the ‘20s through the ‘40s and pop tunes of the ‘50s and ‘60s. The concert is free. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket to enjoy an outdoor concert.
