Franke Park Day Camp 75th Anniversary Celebration
Tuesday, July 26, 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Franke Park Day Camp, 3411 Sherman Blvd.
Franke Park Day Camp is just as popular today as it was 75 years ago. This celebration and open house will include guided hikes to Bullet Hill, Singing Tree, 75th anniversary t-shirts for sale ($10, cash only), a drawing for a child to win a free week at Franke Park Day Camp in 2023, a special ceremony, commemorative giveaways while supplies last and more.
Trek the Trails Bike Ride
Tuesday, July 26, 6:00 p.m.
Foster Park, 3900 Old Mill Road
The 2022 Trek the Trails season continues on Tuesday evenings. Meet at the trailhead near Pavilion #1 for a nine mile ride. There is no cost to participate. All experience levels are welcome and participation is at your own risk. Riders are encouraged to wear helmets. Trek the Trails is sponsored by Trek Bikes Fort Wayne, Fort Wayne Harley Davidson, and UAW 2209. Join the Allen County Public Library and Riverfront Fort Wayne for fresh air, sunshine and children’s literature at Promenade Park. Most dates will be held under the awning of the Park Foundation Pavilion. Drop in, it’s free!

River Rangers

Incorporate some STEM learning into your child’s summer experience at the Riverfront. On July 21, it’s Lego Day and time for a building challenge. River Rangers will be tasked to build various STEM projects with blocks that are provided. Participants can earn a STEM badge and take home some blocks. Travel Fort Wayne’s rivers on Sweet Breeze, an authentic 1840 canal boat replica. Choose 90 minute or a 45 minute cruise options on weekends or 60 minute option on Thursday evenings. Rock the boat with laughter on a special Friday cruise with entertainment from five local comedians and a cash bar. Price is$35 for Comedian Tour, $27 for 90-minute Saturday/Sunday cruise, $20 for 60 minute and $17 for 45-minute cruise. Chess on the Riverfront

Enjoy a little friendly competition or get started in this ancient game of kings with some basic instruction. Local chess clubs Fort Chess and Take A Stan Chess will be on site with boards or bring your own. This is free and open to all ages, abilities and skill levels.
City Pools Public Swim Hours
Northside Aquatic Center, Tuesday to Sunday, 12:30 -5:00 p.m.
