Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation offices to be closed in recognition of Independence Day
Fort Wayne, Ind – The Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation offices will be closed on Tuesday, July 4 in recognition of Independence Day. All day camps, Lifetime Sports Academy programming and the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Community Center will also be closed.
Special programming taking a brief hiatus includes:
- Community Center athletics closed on July 3 and 4.
- McMillen Community Center will be closed on July 3 and 4.
- Park & Play will be on hiatus July 3 and 4.
- Jennings and Weisser Youth Centers will be closed July 3 to July 5.
The Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory, Johnny Appleseed Campground, Northside and McMillen Aquatic Centers and the Hurshtown Reservoir will be open for normal operations on July 4.
The Parks offices will reopen on Wednesday, July 5.
