Salomon Farm Park, 817 West Dupont Road
This is a two-day celebration of the history and culture of the American farm—right in our own backyard. It's fun for all ages and the event is free. You can bring the whole family and spend the day at the farm! Try some hands-on activities, visit with farm animals (Highland Coos, goats, sheep, ponies), take a horse-drawn wagon ride around the park, watch oat and wheat threshing and corn husking using antique farm equipment, check out the historic Salomon Family Homestead and enjoy on-site concessions. Saturday only events include: Antique Tractor Parade at noon, pony rides, cloggers, Frisbee Dog Show and farmers Market. Find the full listing at www.FortWayneParks.org.
Sweet Breeze Clean Drains/World Rivers Day Tours

Take a guided cruise of our rivers on Sweet Breeze, Fort Wayne’s authentic canal boat replica sponsored by STAR Financial Bank. Thanks to underwriter, SDI, tickets on September 23 and 24 are $5 per person. Enjoy the ride and learn about our rivers and riverfront. Dinner in the Flower Field

Dine amongst the blooms with a farm-focused dinner. In partnership with Mad Anthony, participants will enjoy a four-course meal, adult beverage, soft music, flowers and interesting conversation. Lindenwood Nature Preserve, 600 Lindenwood Avenue
Fly to Lindenwood Nature Preserve for a free family-fun birding festival. Explore up to four hiking trails with guides and watch for over 70 bird species. Special crafts and activities will thrill kids and Soarin’ Hawk returns to inform and entertain with their birds.

Digest the community impact of urban gardening and see herbs that flourish, mushrooms that thrive and rooftops that grow. Forage some more to discover dynamic graffiti art and container gardens accompanying uptown views from your local stoop. It’s a beautiful season in the neighborhood at the Botanical Conservatory’s own herban garden. Sponsored by: the English Bonter Mitchell Foundation, Waterfield Foundation and WANE 15.
Trek/Tread the Trails Night Ride/Walk/Run

The 2023 Trek the Trails season concludes with the annual Night Ride/Walk/Run. Meet for an 8.5 mile Trek/Tread. There is no cost to participate. All experience levels are welcome and participation is at your own risk. Riders are encouraged to wear helmets and are required to have front white lights and rear red lights or reflector. Walkers and runners should bring a flashlight and reflective clothing, if possible. Trek the Trails is sponsored by TREK Bicycles, Freedom Cycle, VS Engineering, UAW Local #2209, and Three Rivers Velo Sport. Salomon Farm Park U-pick Flowers
Wednesday and Friday, 4:00–7:00 p.m. and Saturday, 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
Salomon Farm Park, 817 West Dupont Road
U-Pick flower fields are available on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays while flowers are blooming. Prices vary per type; $2 per sunflower and $1 per other stem. Follow the signs and look for the “red barn” trailer for supplies and checkout.
