Reminders:

Great Tree Canopy Comeback 2023
Saturday, October 21, 2023, 10 a.m. to noon

Four sites in Allen County (see sign up form for more details)
The Great Tree Canopy Comeback (GTCC) began in 2001 with the mission and focus to restore a canopy that was found to be severely lacking in the Parks System. Since the first annual event, the GTCC has been responsible for planting over 2,800 trees in multiple parks and trails throughout the county. This planting success, with the addition of other tree care needs, led to the event evolving in 2018 to also include removal of invasive shrubs and trees from the parks’ natural wooded areas. This year you can choose to volunteer as a Planter/Tree Captain or Courier/Cutter at various parks & trails around the area. Go to: https://www.fortwayneparks.org/images/PDF/Administration/2023_GTCC_Registration_Flyer.pdf to learn more.
