Muddy River Concert Series

Wednesday, June 12 and 26, 6:00 p.m.

Promenade Park, 202 West Superior Street

Enjoy live local music on the Riverfront from Los Electro on June 12, and Wallen Road on June 26, along with food and drink to purchase from Teds snack + bar at the Promenade Park Café.

 

Fort Wayne Area Community Band in Concert

Thursday, June 20, 7:00 p.m.

Auer Lawn, Promenade Park, 202 West Superior Street

This is a free concert. Bring your own seating and savor the live music experience.

 

Storytime in the Park

Wednesday, June 5, 9:30 – 10:00 a.m., and continuing *Wednesdays until July 31

Park Foundation Pavilion, Promenade Park, 202 West Superior Street

Join Allen County Public Library on Wednesday mornings for fresh air and children’s literature at Promenade Park. Sessions will be held under the awning of the Park Foundation Pavilion. No pre-registration is required for these free story sessions. There will be no Storytime on the *Juneteenth holiday (June 19).

Sweet Breeze specialty tour: Enchanted River Excursion, Princess Party

Saturday, June 29, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Promenade Park South Dock, 202 West Superior Street

Embark on an enchanting boat ride down the St. Marys River, where magic is just around the bend. Come in your dress and tiara and interact with a live princess! This two-hour event will include a staff-led craft on the dock during both tours. This specialty tour is $22 per person. (Break) Dance Promenade: Street Style

Tuesdays, June 18, July 2 and 16, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Park Foundation Pavilion, Promenade Park, 202 West Superior Street

Kids, teens and adults are welcome to participate in free breakdancing classes. ICNH is a professional dance crew that focuses on spreading an awareness and love of street dance and its many styles. Crew member Sockie Phommachanh will lead participants in a variety of forms like Krump, Breaking, Popping, Vogue, Hip Hop and many more. Please register by the Tuesday prior to classes online at www.FortWayneParks.org. Walk-ins are welcome if space is available.

 

 

Be Your Own Artist: Candle Canvases

Thursday, June 20, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.

Park Foundation Pavilion, Promenade Park, 202 West Superior Street

Create a candle that is uniquely you. Participants will begin with a plain 2” x 4” candle and use a variety of different colored waxes to “paint” it as desired. Fee is $15 per person. Register in advance online at www.fortwayneparks.org or by phone at 427-6000 by June 18.

 

Sweet Breeze specialty tour: Summer Celebration

Friday, June 21, 7:30 – 9:00 p.m.

Promenade Park South Dock, 202 West Superior Street

Celebrate the longest day of the year with a sunset cruise on the river! Grab a beer at the on-board cash bar, indulge in delicious hot dogs and burgers from Fort Wayne's Famous Coney Island and enjoy a live performance by local folk-rock musician, Adam Baker. This specialty tour is $60 per person. Paint with a Purpose: Family Art & Sensory Expo

Sunday, June 23, 12:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Riverfront Fort Wayne and Mental Health America of Northeast Indiana have partnered to bring the Paint with a Purpose: Family Art and Sensory Expo event that combines family fun and wellness. This free and inclusive event features activities and booths hosted by organizations who facilitate education and sensory-friendly fun! Mark your calendars now for this day filled with art, play and access to resources in our community that offer sensory and adaptive services. While the expo is free to attend, additional activities may have costs.

 

Sweet Breeze Tours

Thursdays, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. (60 minute tour), 7:15 – 8:15 p.m. (60 minute tour)

Saturdays, 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. (90-minute tour), 2:45 – 3:30 p.m. (45-minute tour)

Sundays, 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. (90 minute tour), 2:45 – 3:30 p.m. (45-minute tour)

South Dock Promenade Park, 202 West Superior Street

Travel Fort Wayne’s rivers on Sweet Breeze, an authentic 1840 canal boat replica. This fully accessible tour provides an opportunity to learn something new about Fort Wayne through its riverfront. Choose 90 minute or 45 minute cruise options. Tickets are $30 per person for a 90-minute cruise, $23 for a 60 minute tour and $20 per person for 45-minute cruise. Reservations can be made online at www.RideSweetBreeze.org, in person at the Parks and Recreation Offices (705 East State Blvd.) or by phone 260-427-6000 during normal business hours. Walk-ups are welcome at the dock as space is available. Specialty tours are scheduled throughout the season. Visit the website to see all of the options.

Park Foundation Pavilion

Kick and punch your way through a great workout at this free monthly exercise class. Instructors will lead participants in a calorie burning journey like no other.

 

Yoga on the Riverfront

Sunday, June 9, 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Park Foundation Pavilion

This free, relaxing one-hour flow yoga class is designed for all skill levels and led by owner of Discover Yoga, Chelsea Vona. Bring your own yoga mat to Promenade Park or borrow one for the class.

 

Sunday Heritage Concert Series

Sunday, June 9, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.

The Fort Wayne Children’s Choir will bring their harmonies and uplifting music to Riverfront Fort Wayne. The presentation is free and open to all ages. Seating will be on a first come first served basis.
