Dance Promenade returns with an in-depth three-part workshop focused on fundamental techniques along with musicality and styling for Latin dance including Salsa, Bachata, Cha Cha and Rumba. Join instructor Brenda Diaz as she reviews weight transfer, body position, hand styling and more. If you don’t know how to move your hips, this class is for you. The American Legion Band will bring a “Veteran’s Tribute” to Riverfront Fort Wayne. The concert is free and open to all ages. Seating inside will be on a first come first served basis.

Veterans and active military personnel are invited to play golf for free at Foster, Shoaff or McMillen Park Golf Courses on Monday, November 11, (electric carts are not included in this special). Those who wish to play for free are asked to present a military I.D. and schedule a tee time. Tee times may be reserved online. Or you may call your preferred golf course at the number below:

National Take a Hike Day

Bring a friend and join the Fort Wayne Greenways and Trails Department to celebrate National Take a Hike Day. Meet at the Pufferbelly Trailhead near the Parkview Family YMCA and head south on the tree-lined Pufferbelly Trail for a leisurely three-mile stroll. National Take a Hike was created in 1976 by the American Hiking Society as a reminder that hiking can be simple and accessible. It is a call to connect with nature, step away from the daily grind and soak in the beauty of the outdoors. Participants are encouraged to share their experience by using the hashtag #NationalTakeAHikeDay on social media platforms.
