Looking somewhat like Dracula's nasty little brother at a second-rate freak show, Unknown Hinson translates that vibe to his style of country and western-tinged psychobilly. The band is now touring nationwide, wowing audiences with outrageous and campy, persona and freewheeling tone.

Harambee Festival and Parade 

Fort Wayne, Ind.--Bring the family and join the fun for the 19th Annual Harambee Festival at Weisser Park (Hanna and Drexel Streets) Saturday, August 4th. The festival starts with a parade from Pontiac Street to Hanna Street at 10 am. The theme of the parade is “Building on a Legacy” and Chief Condra Ridley is serving as the Grand Marshal.

Taylor’s Dream Therapy Guides Available

Fort Wayne, Ind--Taylor’s Dream Boundless Playground at Kreager Park has more than just fun to offer children and their families. Starting today, parents, caregivers and therapists for children with disabilities can download therapy guides from www.fortwaynepark.org. With the use of these guides, children will receive targeted therapy while they are playing at Taylor’s Dream.

Memorial Pool Closing August 5

Fort Wayne, Ind—City pools will begin the process of closing over the next two weeks as staff head back to school. Due to this loss of seasonal staff, we will no longer have the number of certified lifeguards needed to safely operate the pools.

Memorial Park Pool will close for the season at 5 pm August 5. Northside Pool will close August 12th at 5 pm and McMillen Pool will close August 12th at 7 pm.

Memorial Pool season tickets will be honored at McMillen and Northside Pools through August 12th, 2012.
