Fort Wayne, Ind. –The Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Community Center and the Anthony Wayne Lions Club are joining forces to offer this special children’s used book sale and swap. Used books for toddlers through teenagers will be available for swapping or purchase. Your child may swap up to 5 books per day or purchase an unlimited amount of books. Along with the swap and sale, the Anthony Wayne Lions Club is offering a FREE book and bookmark to each child who participates. (Kids must be present to swap books and qualify for the FREE book.)

Come out to Salomon Farm Park and celebrate Christmas in a traditional manner on Saturday, December 1, 6 –9 pm. Enjoy a live Nativity scene, horse-drawn wagon rides, a visit from Father Christmas, a General Store (gift items, baked goods, etc.), live music and performances, and more. The celebration is free, however donations will be accepted.

Extended Holiday Hours

Thursday & Friday nights, Through December 21

The Conservatory will be open until 8:00 pm on Thursday and Friday evenings through Christmas. Enjoy an evening downtown at the botanical gardens, done up for the holidays. The gift shop and sales garden are also open until 8:00 pm. The Conservatory will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. For more info, call (260) 427-6440.
